The nickel-zinc Ni-Zn battery provides 1.6V, which is 30% higher than the traditional 1.2V in standard Ni-Mh batteries. This latest technology allows you to keep the voltage of 1.6V even when discharging up to 85%, which is impossible with any other battery.
It is very good to use these batteries instead of conventional 1.5V batteries, for example, in radio-controlled models, in cameras, in camcorders.
Two of the most prominent features of a NiZn battery are its small size and low internal resistance, which delivers significantly more power during peak discharge periods than nickel cadmium (NiCd) or nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries of comparable size.
This is true, for example, for charging a flash, where, on average, the charging speed increases two to three times.
Lack of memory effect.
The working temperature is from -30 to +40 degrees Celsius.
The disadvantage of these batteries is the need to use their own charger. A charger with a charge voltage higher than 1.9 volts is required. This means that your "old" charger designed for NiMh batteries will not work and you need to buy a new, special one.
