Chemlight Cyalume Features
- Hexagonal housing that makes it difficult to roll off sloping surfaces.
- Light source: two chemicals that, once mixed, react to produce light. This reaction provides 6 hours of even, circular (360°) illumination.
- Easy light activation: you need to bend the case to break the inner container and shake the wand to better mix the components.
- The chemical components included are non-toxic and non-flammable.
- The chemical reaction inside the CLS case does not produce heat, open flame, smoke, etc. - it can be attached to clothing and equipment without risk.
- Chemlight can be used in rain and underwater.
- Long shelf life (4 years) and can be used even after the expiration date (according to user reviews).
- Many uses in both military and civilian applications:
- identification of friendly units or marking of group members;
- marking safe areas;
- categorizing the wounded;
- marking travel routes or landing sites for air transport;
- traffic control in limited visibility conditions;
- emergency lighting in case of blackouts and power outages.
