The All Purpose Environmental Clothing System (APECS) is analogous to the sixth layer of Gen II ECWCS.
The hood, if necessary, can be easily hidden, it is fixed with Velcro, which are sewn on the hood and on the collar - it is very convenient and functional, especially pleasant in civilian wear. A small visor for protection from the sun and moisture, tightening along the oval of the face with an elastic strap and restraints. In front of the jacket there is an epaulette for a shoulder strap with a rank. Small, fastened with Velcro. There are two pockets on the shoulders of the sleeves. The pockets are slanted, closed in two Velcro segments, quite securely and quickly. The pockets themselves are quite convenient for storing various small things, on the left there is also a pocket for the handle. Sleeve cuffs are adjustable. There are two waterproof cut-in pockets on the chest. They are fastened with a waterproof zipper from YKK. The pockets are made of two parts - the upper part is made of a membrane material, and the inner part (the one towards the body) is made sweat-wicking - thus, by opening the pockets, you can get better thermoregulation. The parka has a frontal zipper (this type of zipper is used throughout the park - both on chest pockets and in ventilation elements. The zipper is reliable from YKK, and at the same time is made waterproof due to a special coating. In addition, the zipper has a very reliable zipper with a grabbing puller made of slings with the name of the material - Gore-Tex. The zipper is hidden by a wind and moisture protection strip. It is not large in size, sewn and consists of two small segments. Thanks to this, the parka is very quickly put on, the zipper is easy to fasten, and there are no unmasking noise when fastening parks. In front of the parks there are two cargo pockets, placed at the bottom. Entrance from above, closed with a valve and Velcro. In addition, there are hidden straps to tighten the parka at the waist. The parka is pulled with a shock cord and restraints. The seams are taped, which provides better waterproofing and moisture protection.
