The Ganzo company has released another versatile pocket knife, which is useful for solving daily tasks and for outdoor recreation. With its help, you can easily cut food into sandwiches, open any package, peel fish and perform many other types of work that would seem extremely difficult without a knife.
In working condition, the size of the Ganzo G729 knife is 20.5 cm. However, it can be easily carried even in a pocket, since the model is foldable. The blade is 8.7 cm of the total length. The thickness of its butt is 0.33 cm. For this knife, high-tech steel grade 440C was used. For a long time, it remained the most popular in the knife industry due to its good combination of hardness, corrosion resistance and price. The hardness of this alloy is estimated at 58 HRC, which allows the knife to remain sharp for a long time after each sharpening. The cutting edge in this model is straight, which also contributes to the versatility of the knife.
The Ganzo G729 model is presented in four variations with a handle of different colors. These are khakis and black traditional for fishing folding knives, as well as a popular camouflage color and orange, which is well visible on the grass or sand. In each case, the handle is made of G10 fiberglass, which ranks among the leaders among modern synthetic materials in the knife industry. It is easily formed and painted, has great strength and resistance to most corrosive and mechanical factors. By the way, due to the fact that G10 is a light material, the manufacturers managed to reduce the weight of the knife. The Ganzo G729 weighs 126 g.
Another important characteristic of a folding knife is the type of lock that is used to secure the position of the blade. In the Ganzo G729, this is the Axis Lock. It refers to pin locks that work great for a long time, but are quite demanding to maintain. Plugged dirt can damage the Axis Lock. However, the presence of a protective cover, which is purchased additionally, will help solve this problem.
