Crye Precision G3 Combat Pants are combat pants from the third generation Combat Apparel set from the American company Crye Precision.
In February 2018, the world saw the first announcements of the release of the fourth generation Crye Precision G4 Combat Pants. In Breast 2020, this generation has become available to the general public in versions for the male and female figure. And although this generation is now considered relevant, Crye Precision G3 Combat Pants does not lose its position, and is still presented on the manufacturer's official website.
The third generation is the next step in the improved fit and performance of the second generation Crye Precision Combat Pants, which has expanded the list of benefits below.

Similar to the second generation, Crye Precision G3 Combat Pants are made from a fifty percent nylon and cotton blend (NYCO). This mixture allows the pants to be durable and at the same time comfortable for long-term wear. For additional wear resistance, there are reinforced threads passed through the base material using the RipStop technology, and an additional layer of the base material in places with the most abrasive loads: crotch, buttocks, knees.
Although the pants of the second and third generations do not differ in material, they are significantly different in cut, so I suggest paying attention to it.
At the front on the belt there is a fly made of 15 centimeters high YKK zippers. The zipper has a protective strip on the inside, preventing wind, dirt and sand from getting inside. Above the zip is a 7.5 x 4 cm Velcro strap that closes the front of the trousers. In the previous generation, the Velcro in this place was responsible for adjusting the belt in diameter, in Crye Precision G3 Combat Pants, for this, separate cut details were added.
On both sides of the fly there are slots for belts up to 5.5 m high. From the bottom, these slots have small loops 2.5 centimeters high. Therefore, even if you do not use a separate belt, with their help you can adjust the diameter of the belt in accordance with your physique, wishes and clothes that you are currently using. Also, this solution allows the belt to be moderately flexible when changing positions and levels.
For the same purpose, there is an elastic insert 5 cm wide at the sides below the waist and 8 cm in the center. Please note that in Crye Precision G3 Combat Pants it is already made in a camouflage Multicam pattern and does not stand out against the background of other materials, as it was in the previous generation. Her task has not changed: to remove excess heat and moisture due to better vapor permeability, and to dynamically respond to changes in positions and levels so that the trouser belt remains in place.
Front slit pockets measure 16cm diagonal. The useful size of the pockets themselves is about 18 x 17 centimeters (width / height). It is also worth noting that in the third generation it is only a pocket. It lacks any of the adjustments found in these pockets in the second generation pants. Fewer devices means more usable area where you can place priority items of equipment.
The back pockets of the Crye Precision G3 Combat Pants have also been redesigned. Firstly, YKK zippers have taken the place of the Velcro flaps. Secondly, the size of the pocket has increased. The width of the neck is now 13 centimeters, and the useful dimensions are 17 cm x 19 cm (width / height). By design, they are suitable for transporting flat essentials.
Since, in combat conditions, the necks of these pockets are mostly covered by the WarBelt and harness shoulder belts, the abandonment of valves in favor of lightning can be considered a positive change. Fewer layers of material means less discomfort and overheating, and the contents of the buffer are also reliably protected from loss by lightning.
The Crye Precision G3 Combat Pants front patch pockets have grown in size and given a new purpose. The necks of the pockets are 11.5 cm wide. They are closed with 5.5 cm high flaps and are fixed with Velcro. The dimensions of the pocket itself are now 12 x 13.4 (width \ height). A seam on the front wall adds another 3 cm. Immediately under the valve is a plastic cordlock that fixes the position of the shock cord. At the other end, the shock cord is fixed to the insert that holds the integrated knee pads inside. The hip pockets have a 19 cm wide neckline that is closed with 7 cm high flaps. The valves are closed with Velcro, and protect things inside the pocket from loss, as well as from contact with dirt, dust and sediments.
Inside the pockets with a total size of 20 cm x 23 cm (width / height) in the Crye Precision G3 Combat Pants an elastic sling 5 cm high and 8 centimeters wide has appeared. She is responsible for the maintenance of items such as shops, or water bottles, and presses them closer to her thigh so that they move less inside the main cargo containers of these trousers.
The hip pockets have a fairly flat profile when empty, and can expand to accommodate bulky items. In the photo above, you should note that the hole through which the built-in knee pads are mounted, and usually the plastic part of the Crye Precision AirFlex Knee Pads in this generation looks outward, can be closed with a Velcro flap. In general, the Crye Precision G3 Combat Pants cut has a number of significant advantages over the previous, second generation pants. This is an adjustable belt, and a camouflage insert on the lower back, which no longer unmasks the user, and enlarged pockets, and additional organization inside them. The valves on the knee holes and an additional channel for knives or flashlights also indicate that the manufacturer is not just experimenting with the cut, but is gradually improving its famous product, listening to the advice of end users.
