What is the essence of this kin? Training on countering conventional interrogation techniques. What does it mean? This means that all actions are carried out in compliance with the Geneva Convention, and the prisoner of war is not subjected to torture. It is clear that compliance with such standards is still very relative. But however, a prisoner of war throughout his captivity maintains the integrity of his body. This is the main thing. In this situation, everything depends entirely on your physical and psychological stamina. That is, while you are hungry, not drinking or sleeping, repeating “Yankee-Charlie-Whiskey-Six-Six” you will not get anything. They kick the maximum slightly, will not let you sleep for a couple of days, you will suffer from hunger and thirst, but the chances are that you will not say anything and nothing will be high enough for you.

Of course, there are some points, for example, if you have really valuable and important information, then they will plow you. And you will not be interrogated by the "interrogator" - the investigator, but by "enlister" - the recruiter. These are specialists who not only know how to ask tricky questions, but also experienced psychologists who use themselves excellently and are perfectly able to read body language. That is, non-verbal signals that you will try to generate in almost any condition. They will also be experts in the field of lie recognition. Yes, yes, experts on the same:

- If you answer a question and look up, you are lying. If down, tell the truth.

The fact is that such things provide information only with a comprehensive review. Each sign individually is practically worthless. Well, okay, that's not the point.

In fact, in the context of conventional interrogation, you may not say anything at all. And you will not be anything for it. Maximum kick a little, and will not be allowed to drink to eat and sleep. Hard, but experienced. This is especially true when you are a carrier of important information. Every minute its operational-tactical importance decreases. This is only in the movies, knowing that their fighter was captured, the command says:

“He won't tell them anything.”

And acts according to the old plan. In real life, the fact that you were captured is already a mistake of the captive. Why? Yes, because now they have a maximum of 24 hours to break you up and get the data. Since in one day it will already become clear to one that the fighter went missing and most likely was captured. So all plans must be changed, purely, just in case.

A small remark about the "importance of information." Even if you are a simple infantryman, with the rank of private, and came to the unit a month ago, you still have important information. Just because you know what the enemy does not know (or does not know for sure). It is enough to pass the name of the commander and the enemy will know the part in which you serve. And then army intelligence will join in, and after a couple of hours the combat potential of your unit, the associated units, its potential role in the actions of the troops will be known. In short, just the name of your commander can give a lot of information about the situation in the combat zone. Therefore, just keep quiet. To make it easier, talk all sorts of crap, a meaningless set of letters and numbers for example. The most important thing is to choose the set that is easy to remember, and in which you will not get lost. Then, if the interrogations will continue for a long time, a situation may occur when you are in a state of altered consciousness (and you will be in it, not grubbing and not spamming) just believe that you are giving them some meaningful information and they are stupid cattle they do not perceive it. This will provoke an internal state of malice, and accordingly will increase your effectiveness in countering interrogations.

How to learn this meaningfully? The question is complex. The fact is that 95% of military personnel do not receive training on countering interrogations. Just for the reason that preparing for conventional interrogation techniques comes down to:

- Bring the blizzard, all the same, nothing will come of it to you.

Everything else depends on the personal physical and psychological parameters of a person, and his personal motivation. The same stories about the "special forces" and their stability during interrogations are based precisely on the motivation of the fighters to keep information about their group / unit secret and high-quality physical training, which allows transferring bul and inconvenience much more easily than an ordinary fighter / person. And not on some super-secret techniques.

So do your physical form, create a strong motivation for yourself, and canonical interrogation, within the framework of the Geneva Convention, you will either withstand it completely or split up when the information you can give is completely irrelevant.

Another conversation, when it comes to unconventional methods of conducting interrogation.

Any person who understands what a normal interrogation is, in a situation where the interested party is not constrained by the means, will tell you that in this case the fact that you will split up is a matter of time.

Moreover, the time range in which you tell everything will be very small.

The fact is that in such cases, the integrity of the psyche and the human body plays absolutely no role for the interrogator. He needs only information. By and large, the fastest and easiest option is to bring a person to a state:

- Yes, let me die already.

And do not let him do it. And do not give the most unpleasant and painful way. Psychology issues are usually not addressed here. Breaking a person psychologically for a long time, and there are no special guarantees that this will work. A person who has been broken psychologically with a greater degree of probability will simply withdraw into himself and possibly go off the roof. And to achieve something intelligible from him will be practically impossible.

So, there are two points with unconventional interrogation methods. And they need to be understood for themselves as quickly as possible:

“After interrogation, they will kill me.”

“They won't kill me after interrogation.”

By and large, if you really know something that the enemy really needs and can harm your colleagues, then captivity is even better not to come across. But if this happened, then suicide will be the easiest way out of the situation. Especially if it’s clear that after the interrogation you don’t live like that. Another point is that time for this very suicide is likely to not be given. Because how to start processing as quickly as possible after capture. In general, worse than express interrogation a couple of kilometers from the place of capture (yeah, right in the woods in the swamp) there is nothing, they will stab quickly and hard. Starting from the removal of nails from the fingers and toes (and this is much more unpleasant than from the hands), ending with the “firefly” - this is when a match is inserted into the head of the MPH and set on fire. Nobody even talks about simple things like pouring salt into wounds. Incidentally, falling asleep in the wounds with subsequent burning is not so common. The pain can be so severe (depending on the site of injury) that it can cause anaphylactic shock and death. It’s good for you, but it’s not very exciting.

Therefore, if it is clear that after the interrogation you will be taken out of the toilet and put a bullet in the back of your head, then better be creative and find a way to kill yourself. For an experienced specialist, even from a body with cut off eyelids and lips, a dyed seared coal, and anus torn by birch logs, will receive the necessary information. Say that this stub can still. And the limit of pain that a person can endure can only be found in such a situation. In principle, even with teeth and gums sharpened by a file, a person can mumble exactly what a person needs, and even so that he would understand what it is about. So do not entertain yourself with illusions, it is better to kill yourself.

If the situation develops in such a way that after interrogation you are left alive, then this makes sense for the captives. And most likely you will be used either for psychological treatment (see American pilots who were treated by Soviet and Vietnamese specialists up to suicidal attempts from realizing what they were doing), or for subsequent exchange for someone valuable from your own. And in this case, the chop, which is not much like a person anymore, is of no value. Forget the movie. Yours are well aware that a disabled person without teeth, parts of the face, fingers and genitals, you are very unlikely to be grateful for the salvation.

So, if it’s clear to you that they want to keep you alive after receiving the information, and the interrogators themselves are, in principle, interested in ensuring that you are as intact as possible, then some options appear.

First of all, you need to understand how you will be affected in case of resistance to interrogation. How to find out? Yes, everything is simple - keep quiet. As soon as the critical mass is reached, the first means of suggestion will be applied to you. Again, this is a signal for you. If they just beat, it’s not scary, so most likely once again, or even two will hit in the same way. This is not scary. Beating that is not intended to be beaten to death is usually very accurate and calculated according to pain. Unless you accidentally tear the spleen, and you safely die without saying anything. That is, keep silent while the “first level” of physical impact is applied to you.

As soon as they stop beating you and bring ticks, it's time to start talking. Choking on bloody snot (and after competent massacre this is easy) tell us about yourself, your name, where you were born, who are your relatives. Most likely it will cause a reaction of approval. Any interrogation manual says that the main thing is for the “client” to speak. Once you speak, it means you're ready for contact. This will give you some time to recover, assess the situation, and gather strength. Moreover, most likely they will start asking you as part of maintaining the parameters you set. About mom, about wife, about "you really want to return to them," about children "they really need a father." Seamlessly moving on to more pressing issues like:

- Who it.

- Where do you serve.

- Who is the commander.

- What are the goals and objectives.

Well and further on the list. There is one point, no one in reality intends to arouse the inquiry officer’s understanding and sympathy, of bad mutes. But if at first you start to be silent on these questions, and when they start to beat you again (most likely to beat you all the same), you will begin to howl “I can’t”, “I can’t”, “I am not a traitor”, then this will most likely cause stopping in action and trying to talk to you again. Understand such a thing, there are few pathological sadists among investigators. And there are even fewer professional torturers (that is, people who KNOW how to do what a person would say). And there are very few professional sadistic torturers. Why? And they have a very high mortality rate of the interrogated, citizens are addicted.

So, most likely all their actions themselves do not bring any pleasure. You generally irritate them with your silence. that they spend time here on you instead of a more pleasant and useful pastime.

And if you start to moan that they say you can’t say what they want to know from you, then with a greater degree of probability they will try to talk to you again. they will begin to explain that in such conditions it’s not a betrayal, that everyone breaks down, it’s only a matter of time and the pain that you have to endure. That they themselves are not happy to do it all. And time is running out.

In this case, your task is not to start answering from the first level of questions, that is, carry those who want to receive from you immediately. And from "zero", that is, it seems like you answer, and about yourself, but not quite what you need. And so at every stage. You are asked about one thing, and you answer the previous group of questions, only in more detail. One hell, then still answer all that they ask. But each stage you will be broken and extended for a longer time and you will have breaks in which you can collect your thoughts, or even lose consciousness. In toga, you will receive everything that you would say so, but in the end you will be more whole, and you will draw time much more efficiently.

As for the lies. Or, in clever words, misinformation. During the same World War II, it was easier to lie, many details were stupid not to check. Now in the age of monstrous informatization, for half an hour quite a lot will be known about you without any words, so you must lie very carefully, preferably with a specific legend in mind for misinformation. The devil is in the details, remember? Distorted or incorrectly indicated trifles can ultimately lead to a completely false picture. For example, to say that the group is commanded not by a major, but by a captain. A trifle? Yes. But it will make the enemy spend more time checking your data. To say that the group is not 10 but 12 people, and the machine guns are not 3 but 1. In the same way, you can distort small details, such as exit time, time spent "in the field". This complicates the task for the enemy, and you are not so offended that you basically tell him information that you do not need to tell. The most important thing is not to lie impudently and frankly. Dr. Goebbels's precepts are good only when working with the masses, but not with a person with professionally tired eyes. Well, yes, the principle of issuing misinformation is exactly the same as in the case of truthful information. That is, you are also tortured, fucked up and bitten by finger ticks, but you give them inaccurate information. Again, the feeling of one’s cunning sharply raises the motivation for survival in such cases. The most important thing to remember, if you are caught in a lie, you fucked up. Most likely you will not be able to maintain integrity and health during interrogation, at least after that all the information received will be checked as quickly as possible, and you will be prophylactically fucked at this time.

Important note:

Please note that expressions such as "most likely" and "more likely" are often used. Because it’s impossible to say exactly what and how will happen. here you need to look at how the situation around develops. There are no universal recipes, anyway, everything is different every time, and in fact the final result will depend on how correctly you assess the situation.

Regarding motivation.

Personal motivation is a very important factor. Perhaps no less important than physical fitness. It is a well-known fact that working with fanatics is the most difficult. Firstly, they are very rigidly motivated for their death, and secondly, for devotion to their cause and to their jihad brothers. By and large, all these conversations and wrapping up on the topic of “fighting brotherhood” and “we don’t leave our own” are designed to create motivation for the soldier to remain silent for as long as possible. Firstly, that the brothers would not be substituted, and secondly, the feeling that you were not abandoned gives hope that they will come and release.

How you create motivation for yourself is up to you. if we take as an example some post-apocalypse where you live with your family in a small community, then their life and health will be the main motivation for you. And here it depends very much on how real they are to you.

Therefore, the issue of creating motivation is a very delicate and ambiguous moment.

Regarding the techniques of turning off consciousness, and other things designed to counter torture.

there is such a moment, legends and tales about this goes a wild amount. And real techniques are buried under such chipboards that it is scary to mention them. The reason for this is very simple, the military is not taught these techniques. None. Because the military must be taught how not to be captured, and not to spend valuable time on all garbage. Such techniques are designed for training operative and undercover intelligence personnel (those who wish can even get acquainted with Citizen Rezun’s “Aquarium” in order to feel the full power and severity of the Soviet intelligence unit).

Therefore, we will concentrate on the three most famous techniques around which the greatest number of rumors runs.

1. About yogis who sleep on nails and eat razors.

The most common myth that intelligence officers are taught using yogic techniques that turn off body sensations. How realistic this is in terms of preparation, I personally have big doubts. Because yogis themselves have been comprehending these truths for years. And to prepare a person also for such a discipline, it is difficult, considering how much everything else a person should be able to do.

2. About falling into a trance.

Another option for responding to external influences during interrogation is to fall into a trance. In principle, the same story as with the technique of yogis. And again, to teach a person to fall into such a trance from which he cannot be hit with a hammer on the finger, how long does it take?

3. Hurt me, call me your thing.

It's about the "training" of a certain masochism. That is, reactions to pain expressed in accented sexual arousal. Well, due to the release of serotonin into the blood, response to pain is a source of positive emotions. The bike is certainly cool, but also very doubtful. If only because if during the beating during interrogation they see an erection, get a boot into this same erection. And so that instantly it will not be up to sex. And again, the limits of pain pleasure have very clear boundaries. When a red-hot needle is launched under the nail, it is very difficult to concentrate on sexual pleasure.

Let me remind you once again, this is not about real techniques, but about “bikes” and “legends” that revolve around this topic. Well and again, ways to make a person a VERY painfully insane amount. And the types of pain will be very different. Do not adapt to all.

Well, let's close the topic by talking about possible training options.

The main point regarding preparation for interrogations is that a person can only be prepared for behavior in conventional interrogation. For one simple reason, during training, no one will cut off a finger to the cadet or tear his mouth. That is, the training task includes mainly training resistance to physical and psychological fatigue. The maximum that can be done within the framework of such training is to deprive of drinking food and sleep (within strictly defined boundaries), to create conditions of physical discomfort (stand for three hours on the wall on your knees resting on it with your hands with a very uncomfortably bent back, not having the ability to move). The maximum injuries that can be inflicted during the training are dislocations of the limbs, broken noses, no more. Of course, you can talk about places like the CIA Training Center "Farms", where cadets are fucked in the ass with rusty soldering irons, but this is akin to "urban legends" to believe or not to believe in which is a personal matter. I do not believe.

Well, the second point related to preparation is the creation of motivation. But this is already a question regarding a very wide range of points, because the motivation it depends on so many factors. And not only internal, but also external. And here it is necessary either to wind up a person in a directional way, or to create artificial factors for the formation of this same motivation.
