The UV-82 radio station operates in two communication bands, the upper one in this version has already been expanded to 520 MHz. The radio station can work with any LPD and PMR radios at frequencies 136-174MHz and 400-520MHz. In addition, the UV-82 radio has acquired a two-position PTT button, allowing you to instantly activate transmission on one of two selected frequencies. High-quality components and an amplified antenna allow communication at distances up to 15 km. The display has three backlighting options, the keypad is comfortable and can be entered with gloves. The Li-Ion battery capacity is 2800 mAh, this capacity lasts up to two days in standby mode. The model has a shockproof case, the printed circuit board is placed on a metal chassis.
The radio station has an adjustable power of 1 and 5 W. The following functions are provided: PTT ID, VOX, time-out timer, sound notification during discharge, alarm signaling, blocking of a busy channel. Can be programmed from a computer via a USB programmer.
