The Blizzard Heat Casualty Blanket is the new standard in preventing hypothermia in casualties. This large blanket wraps around the casualty and fastens with Velcro. It is suitable for patients of all heights and builds.
Blizzard Heat has four oxygen warmers placed inside to provide effective warming during evacuation.
The thermal blanket is suitable for treating hypothermia caused by environmental exposures, traumatic injuries, blood loss and other conditions that affect the body's ability to regulate body temperature.
The Blizzard thermal blanket is made of Reflexcell material and works as follows:
- cellular network traps warm air;
- metallic surfaces reflect heat back to patient;
- elastic cords hug the body, eliminating heat voids;
- the outside layer of the blanket keeps water and wind out.
Reflexcell technology provides complete warmth with one wrap and the most efficient heat retention on the market. For the same weight and volume, Reflexcell is 400% warmer than a synthetic blanket and 150% warmer than down insulated clothing and bags.
