More than ten shooting exercises, each of which is a test of power, endurance, attentiveness and, of course, the professionalism of the Ukrainian SOF operator.

The exercises in which the servicemen competed as close to reality as possible determined the level of training and skill of the tournament participants in the complex.

The culmination was the "Gunslinger Duel", during which the warriors competed in pairs. On a signal, they had to run to the shooting position, and, having only two magazines, each of which had one cartridge, hit the target before the opponent.

"The current tournament has become a good occasion for our guys to exchange experience, improve their skills and work on mistakes," said the chief judge of the competition.

Our fallen brothers are always with us, in the ranks. Comrades keep their memory and honor not only on the day of death. Each shot at the target is a tribute to the dead brother, each successful operation is revenge on the enemy for the death of brothers in arms.

The example of the loss of life is an additional motivation to fight and improve. We name competitions and tournaments by their names, where we gather to exchange experience, learn and temper our skills.

The other day, at the Training Center of the SOF of Ukraine, a tournament was held in honor of the Hero of Ukraine Yevgeny Zelensky *. There, operators from all combat units of the SOF of Ukraine practiced shooting skills.

* Senior Lieutenant Evgeny Aleksandrovich Zelensky - commander of group 8 of the OPSpP. On June 17, 2014, the SPP group, commanded by Yevgeny Zelensky, was located near the town of Happiness in the Luhansk region.

Five special-purpose soldiers were to free a group of brothers from the "Aydar" battalion from captivity. The Ukrainians completed the task, but were ambushed by the enemy. During the battle, Senior Lieutenant Zelensky covered his fighters so that they regroup to leave, but was seriously injured from a shot from an empty RPG.

Yevgeny Zelensky died on June 24, 2014 at the Central Military Clinical Hospital at the age of 23.
