September 29, in the Black Sea, a group of boats of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with the American destroyer “Roosevelt” conducted joint exercises such as “PASSEX”. The purpose of the training was to improve skills and exchange experiences between teams of ships from NATO member states and partners.
– Joint tasks and training with US and NATO warships are a great experience that allows us to be compatible and ready to stand together to defend security, stability and peace in the Black Sea region. Therefore, PASSEX training is a great opportunity to improve skills, marine training and exchange of experience between the crews of ships of the two countries. We intend to further deepen our partnership and expand military cooperation with our strategic partners from the United States, said Rear Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, Commander of the Ukrainian Navy.

During the joint maneuvers on the high seas, the ships and boats of the participating States have completed a number of interoperability tasks in accordance with the standards of the North Atlantic Alliance. In particular, the ship-boat group practiced tactical maneuvering, communication training, air defense, repulse of enemy strikes, etc. at the sea crossing.
It should be noted that the Ukrainian Navy has long used NATO standards in many areas of its activities.
