It is impossible to predict where an enemy bullet or shrapnel will come from, so it is worth taking care of your safety in advance. M-Tac brand has developed and produced the BALISTIC PACKAGE 2 CLASS PROTECTION VICTORY PROTECTOR, which significantly increases the area of protection of the fighter's body.
The product is a compact, removable module that provides anti-shrapnel protection for the lower abdomen. It consists of two sections fastened with slings. Thanks to this design solution, this piece of equipment will not cause discomfort during active physical activity.
It is made of Cordura 500D – a durable material resistant to abrasion and high loads. The upper section of the module is equipped with an integrated pouch, which consists of one quite spacious pocket with a waterproof zipper. On the front part of the pouch, there is a velcro panel with slots, designed to hold additional equipment, as well as IDs and patches. At the bottom of the pouch, there is an elastic band for placing the tourniquet, as well as special eyelets for removing dirt and dust that got inside the pouch.
M-Tac belly protector with ballistic package 2 class of protection can be attached both to the velcro panel located under the front plate and to the flap panel. This is possible thanks to the velcro panel located on top of the module. The rough part of the velcro panel is double-sided so that its position can be changed according to your chosen method of attachment.
Also, the belly protector comes with a ballistic package designed to protect against ricochets and shrapnel. It is made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and is STANAG 2920 compliant with a V-50 anti-shrapnel resistance rating of approximately 758.6 m/s.
To understand the analogy of anti-shock resistance, an armor package with similar composition corresponds to class 2 (7.62*25 Pst) according to DSTU 8782:2018 and withstands 9 × 18 mm, (9 mm Makarov), 9 × 19 mm, (9 mm Luger, 9 mm Parabellum) shot from pistols and carbines in pistol cartridge and 7.62 × 25 mm, (7.62 × 25 Tokarev).
(Class 2 refers to the equivalent composition tested on 400 × 400 mm standard specimens. Therefore, post-injury may be different on smaller size and shape specimens).
