Since 1977, Alta Industries has been producing high quality protective clothing items - knee and elbow pads - for the US Army, government security agencies. Alta Industries is currently producing a dedicated line of products for tactical gamers. All knee pads and elbow pads for "civilians" are made on the basis of the "military" line and are in no way inferior in quality.

Alta Knee Pads provide reliable protection for the kneecap and joints by performing two main functions. First, they protect the knee from abrasions and wounds when falling or shooting in a position with an emphasis on the knee. Secondly, they are a good barrier against splinters and balls. All this is provided by the alta knee pads thanks to their construction of attachment to the leg with special elastic straps that rigidly fix the lower sling under the knee using the patented AltaLok snap-in method, allowing the upper belt to be loosened. This makes wearing the knee pad comfortable and comfortable. The knee pad itself is made of elastic foam, neopropene, inside a knitted lining that protects against the penetration of dirt and debris and removes moisture. The outer material is Cordura nylon, on top of which is a cover made of thick impact-resistant plastic with 6 brass rivets.

Elbow protection is just as important as knee protection, although there is less stress on the elbow. However, hitting the balls or falling can be very painful and traumatic. Alta elbow pads are made similarly to knee pads using the same materials. Some alto elbow pads use a rubber cup instead of a plastic cover to improve arm mobility.
