Balls of Steel by Ruslan David is more than just a brand. It is a story embodied in an idea — a path lived at the cost of life and loss.
The idea of creating his own brand came to Ruslan Serbov, a soldier with the call sign “David,” in 2022.
In April of that year, Ruslan flew by helicopter into Mariupol to support the garrison that was completely surrounded. He took a one-way ticket and stood alongside his brothers-in-arms to defend the city to the very end and fight the enemy.
A month and a half of intense urban combat changed everything. Ruslan suffered a devastating injury — he lost his leg due to a passing anti-tank missile. He was taken captive, endured the brutality of the enemy, and later returned to Ukraine in a prisoner exchange.
The name Balls of Steel symbolizes courage and unbreakable resolve. It represents the 72 warriors who agreed to take part in that desperate operation.
Most of them are no longer with us.
Life goes on. And the desire to create something of his own — something real, driven by ideology and meaning — became a continuation of that story:
a story of resilience, brotherhood, and inner strength.
