Universal Improved Rainsuit (IRS) Rain Jacket Grade 2
Universal Improved Rainsuit (IRS) — a protective rain jacket designed to be worn over a uniform and other layers of the ECWCS system. The model serves as an outer layer, providing protection from precipitation while also allowing moisture vapor to escape to the outside.
Protection from Rain
The rain jacket material combines waterproof and vapor-permeable properties, so the garment protects from rain while helping to release moisture in the form of vapor. For additional sealing, all seams are taped with special sealing tape.
Practical Construction
The central part is equipped with a reinforced two-way zipper, which is additionally covered by a double snap storm flap. This construction helps protect the closure from precipitation.
Under the arms, there are ventilation openings with zippers that can be used for additional air circulation during active movement.
Fit Adjustment
The lower sleeves are adjustable with hook-and-loop fasteners, while a drawcord along the bottom edge of the jacket allows the volume to be adjusted.
The hood features a raised collar and visor. Nylon drawcords with adjusters are provided for adjusting its fit.
Access to Lower Layers
The construction features openings for access to the lower clothing layers, which are secured with snaps. This allows access to clothing worn underneath the rain jacket without the need to completely remove the outer layer.
Grade 2 — Used Item
The Grade 2 rain jacket has been used and may therefore show signs of previous use, such as abrasions, minor dirt, creases, or other cosmetic characteristics typical of used equipment.
