The Uniden GPS receiver kit is designed to work seamlessly with GPS-enabled Uniden scanners. These high-precision receivers quickly acquire satellite signals and transmit location data directly to the scanner.
The converter module connects the GPS device to scanners via USB, DB9, or other specialized ports, ensuring smooth delivery of location information. Supported scanners and receivers include: BCD436HP, BCD536HP, HomePatrol-1, HomePatrol-2, SDS100, SDS200, BCD996T/BCD996XT/BCD996P2, BCT15/BCT15X, BC346XT, BCD325P2, BCD396T/BCD396XT8.
How GPS Scanning Works
GPS scanning relies on programmed coordinates and ranges for systems, sites, and groups (or favorite lists). The GPS sends location data to the radio, and when the scanner detects that it is within a designated area, it automatically activates the corresponding item. Leaving the area deactivates it.
