Merrell Moab 2 Speed Gore-Tex Shoes

Merrell Moab Speed 2 GTX are lightweight waterproof shoes designed for speed hiking, trekking, and everyday use in the city. The model combines technologies from the Moab series with a construction focused on active movement, stability, and comfort across varied terrain. The GORE-TEX membrane helps protect the feet from moisture during walks in rainy weather, while the grippy outsole provides more confident movement on natural trails.

Moisture Protection and a Comfortable Fit

The GORE-TEX membrane prevents external moisture from entering while maintaining the footwear’s breathability. A soft collar and additional foam padding around the upper edge and tongue provide a comfortable fit and support the ankle area. The bellows tongue helps prevent small debris from entering the shoes while moving along trails.

Reinforced toe and heel areas made of synthetic materials provide additional protection against impacts and abrasion. Dual loops on the heel and tongue make the shoes easier to put on and also allow a carabiner to be used to attach the footwear to gear.

The Vibram TC5+ outsole was developed exclusively for Merrell and provides traction on various types of surfaces. Special tread lugs help maintain contact with soil, rocks, and other uneven terrain along the route.

The lightweight FlexPlate technology provides torsional rigidity and lateral stability while maintaining flexibility in the forefoot. The FloatPro foam midsole softens each step and promotes comfort during extended walking. Cleansport NXT treatment is designed for natural odor control.

The upper combines ripstop nylon and TPU, a synthetic material that helps maintain the shape and stability of the construction. The model also incorporates recycled materials: the laces and webbing, breathable mesh lining, and mesh footbed layer are made from 100% recycled materials. The removable EVA foam footbed contains 50% recycled material.
