Insight MTM (Mini Thermal Monocular) is a compact and lightweight thermal imaging device from Insight Technology (later L3Harris). It is designed for handheld use, with mounting on a helmet, tripod, or, in the WTM (Weapon Thermal Monocular) version, on a weapon. The device is used by military and law enforcement units for surveillance and target detection, but is also suitable for search and observation tasks in the civilian sphere.
The MTM is capable of detecting even residual heat traces on surfaces after contact with a person, animal, or object.
