GRAD CBS Poncho

GRAD CBS – an insulated poncho designed as a functional element of the modular CBS sleeping system. It helps increase comfort during rest, reduce heat loss, and expand the possibilities of using the sleeping set in cool weather.

A distinctive feature of the model is the ability to use it not only as an additional element of the sleeping system, but also as a full-fledged clothing item. This design allows the user to remain in the poncho while staying at a camp or campsite, without restricting the user to the sleeping bag.

Three Functions in One Product

The poncho performs several practical tasks as part of the CBS system.

Hygienic layer. Microfleece wicks moisture away from the body, helping maintain a comfortable microclimate and reduce moisture accumulation inside the sleeping system. The material features Odor Management treatment designed to control the formation of unpleasant odors.

Additional heat retention. The thermal insulation properties of microfleece help retain heat and increase the temperature capabilities of the sleeping system. As part of the complete CBS system, the poncho can be used at temperatures down to –15 °C.

Clothing item. The poncho shape allows it to be comfortably used outside the sleeping bag. The increased length provides broad coverage of the silhouette and helps reduce heat loss.

Thoughtful Construction

The product is equipped with an adjustable hood that can be adjusted according to the individual parameters of the user. The hood and lower part of the poncho feature a paracord drawstring with a locking system, allowing the fit to be adjusted and helping retain heat more effectively.

The fleece edges are additionally bound with durable Neoflex / 4-way stretch material, which provides increased resistance of the edges to tearing and abrasion.

A utility pocket is provided on the chest for storing small items needed during the setup or use of a bivouac.

Lightweight and Compact

GRAD CBS features a low weight and high compressibility, making the poncho convenient to take on a hike, field trip, or journey. It does not create significant additional bulk in the gear and can be used as part of an all-season sleeping system.

The model is made in a universal One Size and is compatible with LONG and REGULAR size sleeping bags.
