The Predator backpack from the Warrior Assault System (WAS) brand can be used for a variety of purposes: as an assault backpack on foot, or to carry heavier loads, spare magazines, charges, etc. when traveling on vehicles – when traveling by vehicle.
This is the most popular backpack model of the world-famous British manufacturer. All fittings, threads, slings, and specially treated fabric, which is not visible in the infrared spectrum, are sourced directly from factories in the USA to create this ultra-durable and hard-wearing product. Specifically, it is made from water-repellent and abrasion-resistant Cordura 1000D nylon fabric and all straps are US Mil Spec compliant. Plus, all materials used have the lowest infrared readings (99.8%), which is super important for stealth in the dark, and are manufactured to NATO military specifications.
The backpack is detachable on the Clamshell principle – which literally means “clamshell”. That is, the zipper is sewn around the entire perimeter of the backpack, except for the bottom. This maximizes the opening of the backpack and makes it easier to fill.
The interior compartment has 3 zippered mesh pockets on the inside of the lid for storage and small and large cargo pockets on the outside for quick access to small critical items.
There is one large pocket on the front and another smaller, zippered pocket with storage compartments.
Each of the compartments (pockets) of the backpack has eyelets on the bottom for moisture drainage and ventilation. Also, it should be noted that all zippers on the backpack instead of a metal tongue have a loop of elastic cord, so that opening or closing the zipper even with gloves will be easy and convenient.
A large number of modular MOLLE slings around the entire perimeter of the product (both outside and inside) allows you to add additional pouches or bags, and therefore it can be used as a backpack for medical equipment, EOD, radios, or ammunition.
The backpack can be completed with a Predator Mission Insert in the middle (not included and sold separately). This insert is covered on both sides with 9 rows of MOLLE fasteners. The insert attaches easily and securely inside the backpack with 2 quick-release ITW clips and can be removed in seconds, making it surprisingly mobile. And because of its compact size, the backpack is ideal for use by medics in the confined spaces of a car, airplane, helicopter, etc.
The backpack features padded shoulder carrying straps with chest straps, 2 pairs of compression straps, a hard tie down, quick-release carabiners, and a padded waistband with slings for attaching MOLLE holsters and for extra support and stability that can be removed when not needed. The backpack comes with a padded 3D mesh lumbar support. Mesh is also sewn on the inside of the waistband and the backpack's straps.
Inside, there is a hydration sleeve that has a braid sewn to it so you can attach various pouches if needed. The top of the backpack has holes for the antenna and hydration tube on either side of the sturdy carrying handle.
The handle is made of a folded sling. All functional parts are stitched with reinforced stitching. UTX hardware is installed on the backpack. Also, there is a Velcro area on the front top for an identification patch.
