The GRAD PCU Level 7 jacket is designed for operation in extreme cold and harsh winter environments.
The PCU (Protective Combat Uniform) system was developed for U.S. Special Operations units as a modular layering concept. It allows users to adjust insulation levels depending on temperature and activity. Compared to the standard ECWCS system, PCU features more advanced materials and a more ergonomic cut.
The outer layer is made from advanced NEOFLEX nylon with four-way stretch. The fabric is constructed using micro-ripstop technology for enhanced tear resistance. It is abrasion-resistant, highly breathable, and provides protection against moisture, wind, and dry snow.
The lining incorporates graphene fibers that help retain and evenly distribute body heat. G-Loft synthetic insulation is used as the primary thermal layer. The jacket comes with a compression sack for compact storage without compromising insulation performance.
The design includes a high stand-up collar and an adjustable hood with shock cords for optimal heat retention. The hood can be stowed away when not needed.
The central zipper is protected by a windproof flap. Velcro panels are located on the chest for patches. Waterproof pockets are positioned on both sides.
Sleeves are reinforced in the elbow area. Elastic cuffs are adjustable with hook-and-loop closures for a secure fit around the wrists.
Inside, there are two large mesh pockets.
The hem is adjustable with shock cords for additional protection against cold air.
A storage and transport pouch is included.
