The 3M Peltor ComTac VIII headset is a professional-grade model with active noise reduction, designed for demanding environments, including military and law enforcement applications. It protects hearing while allowing clear perception of surrounding sounds and communication via radio or other devices.
The headset features two high-frequency microphones to improve sound awareness. A 4-pin Nexus TP-120 NATO connector allows connection to a PTT button for radio operation.
The ComTac VIII supports 3M PELTOR MAP (Mission Audio Profiles) technology, enabling mission-specific volume optimization. The dynamic waterproof microphone is tested to IP68 standards.
The low-profile headband evenly distributes pressure for long-term comfort. Powered by two AAA batteries, the headset operates up to 50 hours, with low battery warning and automatic shut-off after 4 hours of inactivity. Soundscaping enhances speech intelligibility over radio communication.
