Even steep mountain slopes and impenetrable thickets will feel like a walk in the park with the Bates Hot Weather Combat Hiker boots. These boots are perfect for outdoor activities even in very hot weather. The shank and round toe provide a comfortable fit, while the lace-up closure ensures a secure fit.
Made from genuine leather and a rubber sole, these boots are slip-resistant on wet surfaces and soft, making them ideal for long transitions. The E03612 is part of the Bates brand product line and is designed for the US Army, with military requirements in mind.
These are modern boots specifically designed for hot weather and are used by many combat units in desert environments. In particular, the Combat Super Knit lining ensures comfortable use even when the air temperature is high. The boots are breathable and dry quickly. The effect is enhanced by ventilation eyelets on the sides of the boots for improved air exchange.
The upper is made of a combination of dense nubuck leather and nylon, which provides excellent resistance to mechanical damage and wear. Reinforced low-profile eyelets for laces prevent snagging on branches, etc., thereby increasing the walkability of the shoe.
The bottom of the shoe features a combined 3.2mm Enlighten-U foam midsole and VIBRAM Crossbow outsole with special circular hooks for confident performance on rocks, fragile rocks, and rocky scree. The boot construction is reinforced with rubber overlays on the toe and heel to prevent rapid wear and tear in tough mountain conditions.
The polyurethane removable insole adds shock-absorbing properties to the shoe and also has antibacterial and antifungal properties. This helps to deal with unpleasant foot odor after active and prolonged wear of the boots.
The weight of the pair of 1844 grams is optimal to form a balance between the durability of the boots, protection of the foot and ankle, and avoiding excessive strain on the muscles of the feet.
