From now on, when you purchase Bronyx armor plates of class 5 from the ULTIMATE series, you get a whole set, which includes, in fact, 2 modern armor plates, 2 damper pads, a branded patch, hexagonal stickers, 2 reflective stickers, an information brochure and a technical data sheet in a stylish cardboard package.
Bronyx Medium armor plates of class 5 ULTIMATE
They have protection class 5 according to DSTU 8782:2018 and anatomical bending in two planes (3D multi-curved technology), which improves comfort during daily use of armor plates, since it follows the shape of the chest wall, provides maximum fit to the body and uniform distribution of the plate weight.
They demonstrate the ability to withstand hits from armor-piercing incendiary (API) bullets of 7.62 x 39 mm caliber and light bullets with a steel core (LPS) of 7.62 x 54 mm at speeds of 750 ± 15 m/s and 850 ± 15.
The plates are made of a combination of layers:
The outer layer of extremely dense, water-repellent, and moisture-resistant polyester fabric Oxford;
2nd layer of foamed polyethylene;
3rd layer of ballistic ceramics (boron carbide - B₄C);
4th layer of premium ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE);
5th layer of foamed polyethylene.
Ballistic ceramics made of boron carbide have the following advantages: low density (2.5-2.7 g/cm³), high hardness (> 2900 kg/mm²), elasticity (> 400 Gpa), flexural strength (≥ 500 Mpa) and fracture toughness (≥ 1900 Mpa), which makes it an excellent material for armor production. Low density and light weight are some of the key indicators for choosing boron carbide ceramics when it is necessary to reduce the weight of protection. With the same volume, it is lighter than alumina ceramics, but its hardness is several times higher.
With an average size of Medium (M) 25 by 30 cm, the weight of one plate is 1.86 kg.
This size is ideal for a chest volume of 110 cm (±5).
It has a protection area of 7.1 dm².
The thickness of the plate is 22-23 mm.
The maximum depth of post-impeded deformation is 23 mm for damage by a 7.62 x 39 mm API bullet and 12 mm for a 7.62 x 54 mm LPS bullet.
Damping pads
An additional (optional, but still desirable) element of equipment, is located under the armor plates closer to the body. Their purpose is to fill the void in the plate carrier pocket and further reduce the depth of post-impeded deformation (the cause of bruises at the point of impact).
The pads have a two-layer design: an inner layer of foamed polyethylene and an outer layer (shell) of Oxford 600 D.
Branded patch
Will add recognition and style to any element of ammunition with a panel for Velcro.
Hexagonal stickers
The kit includes special hexagonal stickers made of Cordura nylon fabric in Multicam coloring, designed for independent camouflage of equipment elements, and electronic devices. The selected optimal size of the cells allows you to stick them on any shape.
A special pride is that all items in the kit are manufactured at our production facilities in Ukraine.
