The Cold Weather Gore-Tex Parka (ECWCS Gen II, Woodland) is a US Army contract jacket designed to provide reliable protection from wind and precipitation in cold and wet climates. It serves as the outer layer of the ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System), making it effective in a wide range of temperatures, from cool autumn to extreme winter temperatures, when paired with fleece and insulating layers.
The parka is made of a durable Gore-Tex membrane fabric that combines waterproofness and breathability. Reliable YKK hardware and a two-way zipper with a wind flap ensure durability and comfort, while underarm ventilation zippers allow for adjustable airflow on the move.
Functionality is further enhanced by:
Adjustable Velcro cuffs;
Adjustable hood with snap fasteners for attaching fur trim, for example;
Convenient pockets: chest, sleeve, and two spacious cargo pockets on the hips with Velcro and snap flaps.
Quality is confirmed by its origin: the jacket is made in the USA from American materials under contract for the US Army. It has NSN 8415-01-228-1319 (Large Regular), which means it is standardized in the NATO supply system.
This is not just protective clothing, but a proven solution that has proven its effectiveness in the field for decades.
