U-WIN AGILE OW 250×300 Plate Carrier with 90–97 cm Cummerbunds Multicam

U-WIN AGILE OW is a modular plate carrier developed by the U-WIN Protect Tactical Equipment Laboratory together with the “Onlywars” company within the 3rd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion. The model's construction is designed for active use and combines an ergonomic fit, a quick-release system, and the ability to adapt the equipment according to the assigned tasks.

This configuration comes with U-WIN OW cummerbunds with a circumference of 90–97 cm. They form a rigid, flexible frame for installing compatible modules with ballistic protection and complement the modular design of the plate carrier.

Ergonomic Design

The front and rear walls of the plate carrier are equipped with removable damping pads. They create an additional layer between the plate and the body, promote ventilation, and improve wearing comfort. The pads can be removed for washing or for adjusting the construction according to the body shape.

If necessary, the plate carrier can be supplemented with anatomical U-WIN OW damping pads for women.

The shoulder straps have a V-shaped arrangement, which provides a comfortable weapon presentation and does not create unnecessary obstacles during movement. The straps are made as continuous pieces and are equipped with 2M buckles for quick release. The buckles are covered with fabric, which helps prevent the stock from slipping and reduces the risk of demasking.

The fit can be adjusted over a wide range according to the user's height. For additional comfort, removable soft “donut” shoulder pads with damping material are provided on the shoulder straps.

Functional Shoulder Pads

The shoulder pads have their own MOLLE interface, which allows compatible equipment to be installed. Special openings are also provided for attaching modules for shoulder protection.

External Velcro fasteners are designed for organizing the hydration tube or radio headset cable. If necessary, the shoulder pads can be removed and the damping inserts replaced.

U-WIN OW Cummerbunds

The inner part of the cummerbunds is equipped with soft Velcro for installing compatible modules with ballistic protection. The outer surface features a continuous MOLLE interface for attaching additional equipment.

The rear part of the cummerbunds is supplemented with an elastic insert that provides the necessary mobility during breathing and active maneuvers.

Removable SPIDER® 40 side quick-release systems are used for quick release. They open and close with a sideways movement and are equipped with puller anchors that are convenient to pull even while wearing gloves.

The front Velcro flap of the cummerbund can be folded inward. In this position, it can serve as a backup method of securing the cummerbund to the plate carrier in case the quick-release system is damaged.

An elastic belt corresponding to the appropriate size is included. It helps distribute the weight of the plate carrier and transfer part of the load from the shoulders to the torso. For additional load distribution, the U-WIN OW corset system can be installed.

The construction also allows side quick-release systems with Cobra® 25 buckles to be installed.

Reliable Plate Retention

The plate carrier is designed to accommodate main plates measuring 250 × 300 mm with a thickness of 5 to 28 mm. Inside, the plates are held by special fastening straps with hook-and-loop fasteners and are additionally covered with external Velcro flaps.

This retention system keeps the plates in place even when additional hook-and-loop equipment is attached to the outer part of the flap.

The front and rear walls feature damping material underneath the plate. If necessary, it can be replaced with a compatible ballistic insert to increase the level of protection.

Evacuation Handle

The long evacuation handle is integrated with the plate retention system. This configuration allows the load during evacuation to be distributed across the plate carrier's construction rather than concentrated at a single point.

The outer part of the handle is secured with Velcro, so in its standard position it remains compactly fixed and does not interfere with the use of the equipment.

Modular Front and Rear Sections

The plate carrier comes with a standard front panel with a MOLLE interface, which is attached at the top using 2M 25 mm buckles. If necessary, the standard panel can be replaced with the U-WIN OW three-magazine assault panel and supplemented with a front administrative panel.

The outer surface of the plate carrier features a MOLLE interface for installing compatible equipment. A zipper is located on the rear wall for attaching additional U-WIN OW assault panels and modules.

Velcro panels for patches and identifiers are also provided on the front and rear walls.

The front Velcro panel can be used to install the U-WIN AGILE phone pouch, which is additionally secured with special fasteners.

To expand its functionality, the plate carrier is compatible with shoulder protection modules and a gorget.

Materials and Hardware

The main material of the construction is Cordura® 1000D Brookwood (USA) – a dense nylon material with PU coating and DWR treatment. The fabric has a density of 1000D (370 g/m²) and is designed for use in equipment subjected to intensive mechanical loads.

Cordura® Squadron® 1500D Brookwood is used for individual elements – a laminated composite material adapted for laser-cut constructions.

The inner contact areas are supplemented with GEDEON® tactical mesh, which provides breathability and wear resistance. Velcro® Alfatex® is used for fastening, while the load-bearing seams are made with reinforced Ariadna® TYTAN® threads.

The construction also uses 2M® (Due Emme) hardware and Tegris® composite material, which is used to create rigid and lightweight structural elements.

Repair Kit

A repair kit is supplied with the plate carrier and includes:

• spool with reinforced thread;
• 2 additional damping inserts for the shoulder pads;
• repair shoulder buckle;
• shock cord with a fastener.
