The US Army Improved Hot Weather Combat Uniform (IHWCU) Scorpion W2 OCP Pants are a lightweight, breathable alternative for hot weather. Treated with insect repellent.
Additional reinforcement in stress areas and seams is designed to make this hot weather uniform as durable as standard ACUs, while the modern nylon/cotton ripstop fabric is designed to go from wet to dry within 60 minutes.
The trousers have 8 pockets: 2 slit pockets at the top in the front, 2 cargo pockets in the hip area, 2 smaller ones in the knee area, and 2 in the back.
All pockets (except welt pockets) are equipped with protection against unfastening: the button is not passed through the flap itself above the pocket, but through a special insert under it. In addition, the pocket flaps have protection against contents falling out. It is designed as follows: the walls bend when closing the pockets, which provides protection against falling out. There are also eyelets on the cargo pockets and the bottom ones to remove moisture.
The width of the legs is adjustable with drawstrings that are tied with knots.
Inner knit fabric at knees for added comfort.
