The RK series from D-Boys includes a wide range of airsoft drives that mimic the assault rifles of the Warsaw Pact countries. Thanks to the use of quality materials and careful assembly, these drives look decent, serve for a long time and enjoy well-deserved popularity among players.
The D-boys AKS74 RK-03SW assault rifle, as the name suggests, is a replica of the AKS-74, a version of the AK-74 with a complex frame stock. More precisely, this model copies the AKS-74N - a variant supplemented with a dovetail-type side rail for additional sights, in particular night sights.
The replica was made with widespread use of steel. Of this material are made, in particular, the receiver and its cover (with a latch and as a whole), a frame example with a latch and a swivel, a safety-switch lever for fire modes, a dummy gas tube and a ramrod. For other metallic elements, a homogeneous zinc-aluminum alloy is used. Additional realism is added by the use of elements made of natural wood: as in the combat original, the forend and the gas pipe cover are made of this material. The pistol grip is plastic - which, again, is fully consistent with the original.
An example of a drive can be folded onto the left side of the receiver, significantly reducing the size. The "stick" battery is installed under the receiver cover. A partial disassembly of the replica is carried out similarly to a real machine; it complies with the VFC standard, so there are almost no screws in the design.
A v3 gearbox is installed inside the drive, which is durable and has a wide range of tuning options. The gearbox features, among other things, a directional piston head, 7mm ball bearings and a spring guide with bearing.
The actuator is supplied with a plastic hopper magazine for 500 balls.
