The USMC FROG (Flame Resistant Organizational Gear) combat shirt is designed for intensive use in hot climates and during combat operations. It is intended to be worn under body armor, providing a high level of comfort, protection, and durability during prolonged use.
The key feature of this model is the use of genuine flame-resistant materials, combining lightweight construction, excellent breathability, and high resistance to mechanical stress. The fabric effectively wicks moisture away from the body, promotes natural cooling in hot conditions, and helps keep the skin dry even during high physical activity.
The torso section is made from TenCate Defender™ M fabric, which features inherent flame-resistant properties and retains its protective performance after repeated laundering, unlike fabrics with surface-applied FR treatments. In addition, the material offers antistatic and antibacterial properties, reducing odor buildup and enhancing comfort during extended wear under body armor.
The sleeves are constructed from a reinforced fabric with increased resistance to abrasion and tearing. Functional shoulder pockets with hook-and-loop closures are provided for IR markers, patches, or identification. A zippered collar allows for quick ventilation adjustment and easy donning.
