The Midweight Flame Resistant Level 2 thermal suit is designed and manufactured specifically for US Army soldiers for the cold season.
It was ergonomically designed for comfortable wearing in the confined spaces of aircraft and armored vehicles. All FREE layers use flame-resistant technologies to provide protection and comfort.
The suit is made of quick-drying Polartec FR thermal fleece with a high pile, woven from DuPont Nomex fiber, which provides optimal warmth and breathability without adding weight. This fleece layer provides maximum comfort when worn over base layers and under a uniform. In addition, it is not afraid of contact with open flame.
The suit consists of a zip-up jacket and trousers.
The jacket has two internal mesh pockets for storing important items without impairing ventilation. The collar and outer part of the forearms are reinforced with dense fabric to prevent blowing and provide greater wear resistance. A Velcro flap on the back of the head (this includes access to a nylon harness sewn inside the CVC suit - Combat Vehicle Crewmen's Coveralls, designed to pull a soldier out of a combat vehicle). In addition, there are panels on the chest for attaching patches, shoulder straps, and other split signs on Velcro.
The rubber waistband of the trousers and the crotch gusset, the rubber waistband of the jacket, and the cuffs on the wrists and ankles stretch well, ensuring a secure fit of the suit to the body, heat retention, and wearing comfort without twisting.
