The ProfArmor clavicle ballistic protection is designed for use with AVS-type modular body armor systems and most modern plate carriers. It provides reliable coverage of the shoulder and clavicle areas, protecting against bullets and fragments while dispersing kinetic energy across its surface to reduce the severity of blunt-force trauma.
In addition to ballistic protection, the design also functions as a shock-absorbing pad, significantly reducing shoulder strain and improving comfort during prolonged wear of body armor with plates.
The unit mounts under the shoulder straps of the plate carrier, replacing standard shoulder pads, and is secured using webbing and Velcro for stable fixation without restricting movement.
The ballistic insert complies with NIJ IIIA 0101.06 (USA) and is rated to stop:
NIJ IIIA compliance is verified on 400×400 mm reference panels; therefore, backface deformation values may vary on smaller protective elements.
According to STANAG 2920 (V50), the protection resists fragment impacts at velocities up to 650 m/s.
The outer shell is made from certified Cordura® fabric, offering excellent abrasion resistance, water and dirt repellency, tear and puncture strength, UV resistance, and protection against mold.
The soft ballistic core is constructed from UHMWPE, a lightweight and flexible material that enables a total weight of just 174 g per piece.
An inner mesh lining enhances airflow and reduces heat buildup during intensive use.
