Instructions for Use
For optimal results, please follow these steps:
-
Pre-Cleaning: Use a degreaser to remove surface contaminants such as sand, dust, or heavy grease.
-
Application: Soak a patch with Exterminator and run it through the bore several times using a cleaning rod.
-
Dwell Time: Allow the solution to react for 5–15 minutes, depending on the severity of the fouling.
-
Mechanical Cleaning: Apply the cleaner to an aluminum or synthetic brush and run it through the bore.
Warning! DO NOT use copper or brass brushes. The solution will react with the brush bristles, rendering the cleaning ineffective and causing false blue staining on your patches.
-
Wipe Down: Run a dry patch through the bore. If it comes out dirty, repeat the process.
-
Final Step: Once the bore is completely clean, treat it with a neutral gun oil for lubrication and long-term protection.
