The GiG Military Grade 1 Ballistic Neck Protector is a compact, removable module that provides lightweight and reasonably comfortable all-around anti-fragmentation neck protection.

The clever shape of the collar allows you to operate your weapon in a supine position without unnecessary discomfort;

This product consists of two elements with Velcro fastenings. The front section is designed to protect the neck from the front, and the opposite section protects the back of the neck;

The neck section is additionally attached to the MOLLE interface of the chest plate of the plate carrier, and the rear section is attached to the shoulder part of the plate carrier using slings with Velcro fasteners. The module is designed to provide continuous ballistic overlap from the top cut of the chest plate to the back plate while capturing additional area on the sides of the shoulder straps;

Considerable design effort has gone into making the neck as ergonomically shaped as possible for comfortable use. This design does not conflict with other equipment elements and provides a sufficient level of freedom in head movements even with the helmet on;

The anatomical shape and light weight of the neck protector were also emphasized in the development of the neck protector. Thanks to this, it allows you to maintain mobility and ergonomics of the whole set of equipment;

If necessary, the neck protector can be fixed in folded form at the front of the plate carriers. If necessary, the frontal protection element can be removed for more convenient weapon insertion, but in this case, it will cease to fulfill the protective functions of the front part of the neck;

The module is made of Cordura 1000D, a heavy-duty nylon fabric resistant to abrasion and high loads. On the inside of the shoulder part, a dampening mesh is used to reduce pressure and provide good ventilation;

The front has a panel for chevrons, insignia, and Velcro patches;

The neck protector comes with ballistic pouches designed to protect against ricochets and shrapnel.

To understand the analogy of anti-bullet resistance, an armor package with a similar composition corresponds to Class 1 (9 x 18 APS, 9 x 19 Luger) according to DSTU 8782:2018. (Class 1 refers to the equivalent composition tested on 400 x 400 mm standard samples. Therefore, post-impact injury may differ in smaller size and shape specimens).
