Wiley X ballistic goggles feature Selenite™ impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses. This material is extremely durable and allows for the rigorous testing required to achieve certification to the most stringent safety standards.
Wiley X lenses are coated with T-Shell™, a scratch-resistant coating. It protects the lens surface from damage and extends the lens's life.
The frame material, Triloid™ Nylon, is the strongest non-metallic material available on the market. It is lightweight and comfortable to wear while providing high resistance to mechanical stress. It is thanks to this material that WX optics pass all mandatory durability tests. Despite its lightweight and “plastic” feel, Triloid™ Nylon is of higher quality and more resistant than most of its counterparts.
The adjustable nosepiece provides a comfortable fit adapted to any type of face or bridge of the nose. This ensures a comfortable wearing experience without slipping. The nosepiece is also compatible with the corrective lens insert (sold separately).
All lenses offer 100% UVA and UVB protection, shielding your eyes from harmful radiation that can cause permanent vision damage.
The low profile of the goggles allows them to be used with night vision devices (NVDs).
The smoky (gray) lens absorbs all colors equally, so it maintains the same color perception as without the glasses. It is ideal in bright light conditions, provides maximum glare reduction, and is ideal for all outdoor activities in bright light (transmits about 80% of light).
The light rust lens filters out most blue light (HEV), which is the main cause of glare and haze. Improves contrast in medium to low light conditions, making it ideal for many activities both outdoors and indoors (transmits 88% of light).
The Vermillion (high contrast) lens is used to improve visibility in medium to low light conditions and to enhance contrast and highlight certain colors. It is often recommended for use in forested areas, overcast weather, twilight, or on shooting ranges. Allows you to see in low light conditions without losing clarity. Helps to highlight objects, especially red and orange, on a complex background, which is useful during hunting, shooting, or other activities where it is important to see targets and correctly estimate the distance to them (transmits 45% of light).
