The Rothco ECWCS Gen III Level II Mid-Weight thermal underwear set is the middle thermal layer of the third-generation ECWCS system, designed to retain heat and effectively wick away moisture during active movement in cold conditions.
The fabric is made in a grid fleece (waffle structure) format, which improves air exchange and accelerates drying, retaining heat without overheating. Additionally, the material features an antimicrobial treatment that helps reduce odors during prolonged wear.

Thermoregulation: effectively wicks moisture away from the body – moisture quickly transfers to the next layers, reducing the risk of hypothermia.
Antimicrobial treatment: The fabric is treated to suppress bacteria and odors, which is particularly important when worn for extended periods.
Design: the thermal jacket has an extended back tail for better coverage when bending/moving, as well as thumb holes on the sleeves to prevent them from rolling up during movement.
Quick adjustment: the collar can be quickly zipped up to the chin (completely covering the neck) or, conversely, unzipped to the middle of the chest to increase ventilation in warmer conditions or during intense physical activity.
Elasticity: thanks to spandex, the material stretches well, adapts to the body, but does not “hang,” retaining heat.
Waistband and hem: The leggings, as the bottom part of the set, have an elastic waistband and cuffs at the bottom of the legs, which help maintain a comfortable microclimate for the body.
Practicality: The suit can be easily combined with other ECWCS layers, such as insulated jackets or outer pants.
