KRUK CRC 2U079 Mount for AKS‑74U Dust Cover
The CRC 2U079 mount by the Ukrainian brand KRUK is a compact adapter designed for installing optical and tactical accessories on the AKS-74U platform and civilian carbines based on it. The mount attaches to the standard dust cover of the receiver, allowing users to integrate modern sighting systems without making permanent modifications to the firearm.
The upper section features a 9-slot Picatinny rail, providing compatibility with a wide range of accessories such as red dot sights, optical scopes, tactical flashlights, laser aiming devices, and other equipment designed for Picatinny or Weaver standards.
The mount is manufactured from high-strength 7075-T6 aluminum alloy using precision CNC machining. This production method ensures accurate geometry, secure attachment to the firearm, and resistance to mechanical stress. With a lightweight design of approximately 72 g, the mount adds minimal weight and does not significantly affect the balance of the carbine.
The design also preserves access to the factory iron sights. When using low-profile red dot optics, the shooter can still utilize the standard sight line.
To protect the surface from wear and corrosion, the mount is coated with Cerakote — a ceramic firearm coating widely used in the firearms and tactical equipment industry. This finish provides excellent resistance to abrasion, moisture, and harsh environmental conditions.
The CRC 2U079 mount makes it possible to effectively upgrade the AKS-74U platform by expanding its capability to mount modern optics and tactical accessories.
