ECWCS Gen III Level 7 is an outer protective layer designed for cold and extreme cold weather conditions.
This lightweight hooded jacket is engineered for harsh environments. Featuring the advanced, unmatched PrimaLoft insulation, it provides exceptional thermal protection. Thermal resistance rating is 2.15, an exceptionally high value. The insulation structure resembles goose down but withstands multiple washes without losing shape or insulating properties.
The fibers are water-repellent while allowing moisture to escape, keeping the body dry. The outer shell is treated with a silicone polymer using EPIC technology for enhanced water resistance and durability. Cold-exposed areas are reinforced with additional padding for extra insulation.
The jacket compresses to minimal size and quickly expands back to shape. Combined with layers L1, L2, L3, L5, it enables prolonged exposure to temperatures as low as -40°C, even during low activity.
