Bronyx AP3 Grade 3 ULTIMATE armor plates
Ultimate series is the top line of armor plates from the Ukrainian manufacturer of professional ballistic protection – Bronyx company. Ultimate plates are made of advanced materials: premium grade ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), polyethylene foam, and Oxford 600 D polyester fabric.
UHMWPE is the backbone of the armor plate (the first layer), and at the same time, an innovative ballistic protection filling that combines unprecedented lightness with outstanding protective properties.
Polyethylene foam serves as the second layer, which gives the board shock-absorbing properties to more effectively dissipate the kinetic energy from a bullet or fragment impact.
The outer (third) layer made of high-density polyester Oxford fabric (600 Den) has water-repellent properties, resistance to chemical influences, high wear resistance, and durability.
Bronyx AP3U-L-D armor plates have a protection class 3 according to DSTU 8782:2018 and are the lightest plates from Bronyx. The weight of one board in size L is 1140 grams.
With standardized dimensions of 260 by 330 mm, the thickness of the armor plate is 14-16 mm, which is ideal for chest volume up to 110 cm (+-5 cm) and will be compatible with most plate carriers.
The standardized shape of the Shooter's Cut type plate (i.e. with beveled corners) and the comfortable anatomical bend in 2 planes is the key to a better fit to prevent chafing and gaps in the protection. The bend in two planes (3D multi-curved technology) improves comfort during daily use of the armor plates, as it follows the shape of the chest well, provides maximum fit to the body, and evenly distributes the weight of the plate.
Damping pads
These are an additional (optional, but still desirable) piece of equipment, which is placed under the armor plates closer to the body. Their purpose is to fill the void in the plate pocket and to further reduce the depth of out-of-bounds deformation (the cause of bruising at the point of impact).
The pads have a two-layer construction: an inner layer made of polyethylene foam and an outer layer (shell) made of Oxford 600 D.
Branded patch
Adds recognition and style to any piece of ammunition with a Velcro panel.
Hexagonal Stickers
The kit comes with special hexagonal stickers made of Cordura nylon fabric in Multicam color, designed for self-camouflaging of equipment elements, electronic devices, etc. The hexagonal stickers are made of Cordura nylon fabric in Multicam color. Selected optimal honeycomb size allows to glue them on any shapes.
