Cold Steel Finn Bear Fixed Blade Knife
The Cold Steel Finn Bear is a versatile fixed-blade knife built in the tradition of Scandinavian working knives, renowned for their practicality, reliability, and ease of use in the field. The model combines the classic Finnish concept of a versatile outdoor knife with modern materials and manufacturing technologies, making it equally effective for hiking, hunting, fishing, and everyday use.
The blade is made from German 4116 Stainless Cryo Quenched steel, which undergoes cryogenic heat treatment to improve wear resistance and edge stability. With a hardness of 56–57 HRC, the steel provides an excellent balance between long-lasting edge retention and the ability to quickly resharpen the blade in the field without specialized equipment.
Thoughtful Ergonomics and Practical Design
The Straight Back blade profile with a pronounced upward sweep of the cutting edge makes the Finn Bear highly versatile in use. Its sharp, durable tip is well suited for piercing tasks, while the generous cutting edge provides excellent control for skinning and precision cutting.
The blade features hollow grinds that enhance cutting performance and allow it to pass smoothly through various materials. With a blade thickness of 2.5 mm, the knife maintains an excellent balance between strength and fine cutting capability.
The handle is made from High Impact Polypropylene and features an ergonomic modified diamond-shaped profile. This design fits securely in the hand, provides a confident grip, and remains comfortable to use in wet or cold conditions.
The knife comes with a compact Secure-Ex plastic sheath that securely retains the blade while resisting moisture and mechanical impacts. Its low-profile design allows comfortable carry on a belt, in a backpack, or attached to other gear without adding unnecessary bulk.
