The “World Forces Operations” Operation of Mogadishu patch from the Ukrainian brand PSDinfo® is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It is attached to a Velcro panel. It has stitching around the edges for added durability.

It comes with three themed photo cards with descriptions on the back of events that have forever gone down in history:

1. the Battle of Mogadishu – fighting between U.S. Army Special Operations Forces (SDF) units of the United Nations (UN) peacekeeping force and fighters of Somali National Alliance field commander Mohamed Aidid in the Somali capital of Mogadishu;

2. U.S. Task Force Ranger prepared and conducted a special operation to capture two of Aidid's “Lieutenants” while they were holding a meeting in the city. Amid the deadly battle that erupted in the city shortly after the capture of Aidid's aides, the operation, which was planned to take an hour, escalated into a nighttime standoff and risky rescue operation that lasted until daylight on October 4, 1993;

3. The assault was planned to include an air and ground phase, but while the mission was underway, Somali fighters shot down two U.S. MH-60 Black Hawk helicopters with RPG-7 hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers. A fierce battle began to protect the crews of the downed helicopters, which lasted all night, and additional forces were thrown into the rescue, in particular two snipers from the Army's Delta Force. Who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for their feat. In the morning, an armored Unosom II convoy made its way to the downed helicopters, suffering more casualties, but ultimately rescuing those who survived.
