The GRAD AVS (Adaptive Vest System) plate carrier is equipped with mesh shock‑absorbing pads on the back and side panels and is supplied with a set of ballistic inserts. The key feature of this system is its load‑transfer concept: the weight of armor plates and carried equipment is evenly distributed across the entire torso by means of an anatomical corset‑style harness system. When required, the load can be additionally transferred through the STKSS structural support system to the Dagger load‑bearing belt (sold separately), reducing stress on the spine and shifting it to the hip area, significantly increasing comfort during prolonged wear.

The harness is made of a special high‑strength plastic that flexes in three planes and precisely follows the body’s anatomy, providing secure fixation without excessive pressure points. Shock‑absorbing ventilation pads improve airflow and help reduce overheating.

The plate carrier features an advanced modular architecture and is compatible with additional protective elements and tactical modules. The rear panel incorporates a Zip‑on panel interface, allowing a backpack to be quickly attached or removed using a dedicated zipper.

Both sides are equipped with Velcro panels integrated into the MOLLE system for attaching pouches and identification patches. A functional front pocket with dual pull tabs is located on the front, while a reinforced evacuation drag handle is positioned on the rear. Shoulder straps include retention guides for a hydration tube or radio cable.
