The 3M Peltor Comtac VI features new omnidirectional microphones and high-fidelity drivers with increased sensitivity to help you pick up sound more clearly and accurately. The new circuitry and microphone are designed to improve speech intelligibility and the ability of the ambient listening function to detect.
Externally, Comtac VI is similar to previous models, but the NIB (Natural Interaction Behavior) wireless system automatically connects to users within 5–10 m proximity, allowing communication even at high noise levels, reducing it to an acceptable level and maintaining the perception of the environment, which significantly speeds up contact bypassing the common station.
The fail-safe mode will allow the external communication function to remain active even in the event of a low battery or power failure.
The Nexus TP-120 plug type allows you to connect the headset to the PTT button to work with the radio station.
The ComTac VI is equipped with the innovative 3M PELTOR MAP (Mission Audio Profiles). Advanced ambient listening settings allow you to tailor and optimize volume levels based on mission and conditions.
The main control is made on the left cup. The built-in microphones detect a quiet environment and the sound is automatically amplified so you can hear it without removing your headphones.
The model has been tested in an impulse test in accordance with the requirements of ANSI S12.42.
