The UK Army Combat Shirt UBACS (Under Body Armor Combat Shirt) is designed for warm weather and to be worn under a bulletproof vest or chest rig.
Shoulders and sleeves are made of polycotton — a mixture of polyester and cotton, and have an infrared reflective coating. Made in MTP (Multi Terrain Pattern) colours, universal for many areas.
The material of the torso is Coolmax mesh material with breathable and sweat-wicking properties.
The shirt is fastened with a zipper. Under the zipper there is a windproof strip.
On both sides of the shoulders there are pockets with Velcro fasteners, equipped with protection against falling out of the contents. The protection is arranged as follows: when closing the pockets, the walls are bent, which provides protection against falling out of things. Velcro panels are applied on the pockets to accommodate chevrons and patches.
There is a small UK flag patch on the left shoulder.
Additional soft inserts on the elbows, shoulders and forearms provide protection against damage, shock absorption. The inserts are in small pockets and can be removed from the inside if desired.
The sleeves are loose enough to wear long thick gloves underneath. Fastened with buttons.
