UK Army Combat UBACS Combat Shirt PCS.
Designed for warm weather and is part of the PCS (Personal Clothing System) — the British system of individual uniforms, which is an analogue of the ECWCS in the USA.
The main purpose of the UBACS (Under Body Armor Combat Shirt) is to wear it under body armour or chest rig in hot weather.
Shoulders and sleeves are made of polycotton — a mixture of polyester and cotton. They have an MTP (Multi Terrain Pattern) colour and an IRR coating that reflects infrared rays.
The material of the torso is Coolmax mesh with breathable and sweat-wicking properties.
The shirt fastens with a zipper with an insert at the collar to prevent skin irritation. There is a windproof strip under the zipper.
On the shoulders on both sides there are pockets with Velcro fasteners. Velcro panels are applied on the pockets to accommodate chevrons and patches.
In the elbow area there are connectors for elbow pads (not included). The buttons on the cuffs are equipped with protection against snagging on foreign objects.
