The lightweight and comfortable armor plate of class 5 is made of a composite of silicon carbide (SiC) and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), and is able to protect you from the shot bullet 57-BZ-231 (7.62x39 BZ – armor-piercing-incendiary) LPS) and present in the lower classes of DSTU 8782:2018, as well as from hits by debris of different sizes, ricochets and shrapnel.
It corresponds to the 5th class of protection according to DSTU 8782:2018.
Armor plate tested in a certified laboratory (withstands 3 hits of bullets 57-BZ-231 (7.62x39 BZ – armor-piercing-incendiary) and 57-N-232s (7.62x54 LPS). z 10 meters), a copy of the test report can be provided with the plates at the request of the buyer.
The composite is formed by a combination of silicon carbide (SiC) ceramic elements and a pressed UHMWPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) substrate. Each of the composite materials is designed to perform a corresponding function when hit by a bullet – the ceramic layer works as a destroyer of the penetrating element of the bullet (mainly the thermally reinforced core), the substrate made of UHMWPE prevents the bullet remnants from penetrating through the armor plate and takes on most of the energy.

The bend in two planes (3d multi curved technology) improves comfort during daily use of the armor plates, as it follows the shape of the chest wall, provides maximum fit to the body, and evenly distributes the weight of the plate.
All Bronyx armor plates are manufactured at our production facilities in Ukraine.
M – size 250 by 305 mm, weight 2.49 kg, chest volume up to 110 cm (+-5 cm). This is a standardized size that will fit most armor plate jackets.
Important! If the vest cover does not have a damper pad between the chest and the armor plate, we recommend using a damper inserted under the armor plate in the vest cover. The damper helps to reduce interference deformation caused by high-energy impact elements, such as 7.62x54 LPS bullets.
