The KDH Modular Scalable Vest (MSV) Gen II is a state-of-the-art body armor designed to provide the highest level of protection and mobility for military personnel. This armor system was a replacement for previous models such as the OTV and IOTV. It was introduced to the U.S. Armed Forces in 2018.
Compared to its predecessors, the MSV is significantly lighter, which reduces the load on the soldier and increases maneuverability.
It includes both a full tactical body armor and a vest for concealed carry. The MSV-Gen II can be worn over the soldier's uniform and consists of soft Kevlar components.
Its design has undergone a rigorous multi-year development program by the U.S. Army and protects vital areas of the body from 9mm bullets and shrapnel.
