Your route to success
Whether you're on a training maneuver or just out for a run, the Tactix Charlie's built-in mapping and navigation features help you get your bearings and stay on course. Your device comes with color TOPO maps that are optimized for easy navigation and positioning. Thanks to the use of GPS and GLONASS, the device allows calculating coordinates in more difficult conditions than using a single GPS system. In addition, the watch can be used to create and follow distances, as well as mark locations (camp, car, checkpoints, etc.)
Navigation tools
In addition to mapping, tactix offers the use of ABC sensors (altimeter, barometer and compass) for navigation, which are useful when traveling on and off the road. A built-in altimeter provides altitude data for accurate tracking of descent and ascent while hiking. The tilt-compensated 3-axis electronic compass shows bearing whether you are moving or not.

Wrist-based heart rate monitor
With Elevate wrist heart rate technology, you can monitor your heart rate without using the heart rate chest strap. It also measures your heart rate variability to calculate stress scores so you can determine how much your body is ready for.

When paired with a compatible device, tactix Charlie supports smart alerts. You can view emails, text messages and alerts right on the watch screen. It also offers connected features such as automatic uploads to the Garmin Connect online fitness community, tracking and social sharing via the free Garmin Connect and Garmin Connect Mobile apps.
Running power
By downloading the Running Power app from the Connect IQ store to your device, you can add information about the power you develop as you run. Developed by Garmin Labs, this app uses pace, vertical oscillation, incline, and even wind to calculate the amount of power applied to the ground as you run.
