A series of collimator sights EOTech EXPS3 belongs to the sights of the open type (the shooter does not have to close the second eye while aiming). A large field of view allows you to use peripheral vision and instantly respond to a possible threat. The rate of fire with a holographic sight is much higher than with an optical one, so it is often used when shooting at moving targets.
EOTech holographic sights today are unique in their kind. The aiming mark in them was replaced by a hologram, which appears under the influence of laser radiation. A large and transparent aiming mark of such a sight is clearly visible in any light and is located in the center of the sight, regardless of the viewing angle. Also, it does not block targets and does not distract the shooter. The luminous pupil is visible only to the shooter and is completely invisible from the side, even when using a night vision device. The flat sight window has an anti-reflective coating, which reduces the chance of the shooter being detected by game.
The location of the image of the aiming mark and the target in the same plane completely eliminates parallax and allows you to shoot when aiming the aiming mark at the target, regardless of the angle of observation of the target and the position of the shooter. Another distinctive feature of EOTech holographic sights is that it can be used in any weather: rain, snow, heavy fog. The aiming mark will be clearly visible even if the sighting window is covered with snow or mud, or even broken.
A series of holographic sights EXPS has additional protection of the body, serious protection against moisture;
battery cover and latch replaced with simple rubber O-rings;
quick-detachable Weaver/Picatinny rail mount, side push-button control.
The EOTech EXPS3 riflescopes are distinguished by the presence of the NV mode, designed to work with night vision monoculars. When switching to this mode, the brightness of the aiming mark is sharply reduced, which makes it possible to avoid illumination of the monocular night vision matrix.
