Protective Combat Uniform (PCU) - Special Force’s clothing (US Special Forces).
It consists of 15 items, 7 layers. It is designed as more modern
and comprehensive replacement of Lightweight Environmental Protection (LEP),
developed under Special Operations Forces Equipment Advanced Requirements (SPEAR)
and close to the all-weather ECWCS complex.
The system is compact, lightweight, covers a temperature range up to -40 C.
The fifth layer of the system is made of a unique soft shell material -
a material with fibers encapsulated in silicone. Because of this, it is elastic,
windproof and breathable. With the first or second layer, it can be used for any activity in cold weather.
