The GEN III ECWCS Level 4 Jacket is a lightweight, durable, thin US Army windbreaker. Designed to protect against wind, sand, dust, dirt and light rainfall.
The fourth level of ECWCS Gen III is also designed to be worn under body armor together with ACU (Army Combat Uniform) in a temperate climate with cool windy weather.
The windbreaker is made of a windproof, water-repellent camouflage material - a silicone polymer encapsulated wear-resistant fabric manufactured by Milliken using Epic's unique water-repellent technology.
The windbreaker does not block the removal of excess heat and moisture due to air circulation in the lower layers, but at the same time it protects them from the effects of wind, moisture, pollution and precipitation.
Features:
- The windbreaker has a free anatomical cut, the back is slightly longer than the front.
- At the bottom of the jacket there is an elastic, adjustable drawstring with two shock cord locks.
-Plastic cordlock and elastic, brought out into the chest pockets, and are responsible for tightening the jacket at the waist level. With their help, it is possible to reduce the inner volume of the jacket, partially limiting also the circulation of air inside.
- Fastens along the entire length with a zipper.
- There is a small fold on the stand-up collar, which allows you to hide the zipper and eliminate the possibility of contact of cold metal with the chin.
- Has two front pockets with zippers, located so that access to them is not blocked by a chest strap and a waist belt of backpacks.
- The pockets are lined with mesh and act as ventilation openings.
- Sleeves have rubberized cuffs and shoulder pockets with IR markers and closable flaps.
