The ECWCS Gen III level 7 jacket is an outer layer and is used in cold and extremely cold conditions. It is manufactured by the American company Tennier Industries.
Thanks to the use of modern APEX insulation, it has excellent thermal insulation properties even after getting wet. It can be washed a large number of times without losing the structure of the insulation and thermal insulation properties.
The fibers have water-repellent properties and at the same time allow moisture to evaporate.
The outer layer is made of nylon in Multicam color and has moisture-repellent and abrasion-resistant properties.
In combination with layers L1, L2, L3, L5 allows even at -40 degrees to stay in the cold for a long time in a sedentary state.
ECWCS Gen III level 7 Parka Multicam Features
Structurally the jacket is very comfortable, well thought out and practical.
1. Large enough, an adjustable hood can be folded under the collar and fixed with Velcro.
2. The volume of the cuffs on the sleeves can be adjusted with Velcro.
3. The side cargo pockets are very spacious and closed with YKK zippers. Inside the pockets there are retractors to adjust the volume of the jacket bottom, which allows you to tighten the jacket without taking your hands out of the pockets. The rubber slings inside the pocket are convenient to fix keys and other trinkets, so as not to lose them in the snow when accidentally falling out.
4. Inside the jacket there are two voluminous cargo mesh pockets. They can hold gloves and a fleece hat when in transportation or indoors.
5. On the chest there are velcro panels for ID and other patches.
6. Reinforced elbow areas thanks to double layer fabric inserts.
7. The jacket takes up minimal volume when folded, instantly and independently "unfolds" after compression.
